With an academic background in mechanical engineering and law, Nigel began his career at Dunlop Limited as a New Product Design Engineer followed by fifteen years in Occupational Safety in senior positions within local government and T&N plc.

Following 10 years as a Risk Management Consultant in both Occupational and Product Safety with international insurance brokers Willis Corroon Group plc, (the last four years as Managing Director of Product Safety Ltd., a Willis subsidiary) Practical Risk Management was formed in 1995.

Nigel is acknowledged as an expert in his field and has written numerous articles for professional journals and magazines as well as speaking at conferences, seminars and on radio on risk management subjects.
